Rach Gia Overview
Rach Gia is the capital of the province of Kien Giang, in the Mekong delta region of Vietnam. It's a very authentic Vietnamese city with few tourists. Children here are still excited to see a foreigner and walking on the streets you will be stopped all the time with people saying hello. Although primarily used by tourists as a transfer point to Phu Quoc, the city itself is quite nice and accommodation is abundant and cheap.
